Keyhole (Guided) Surgery (NobelGuide)

We have new technology from Nobel Biocare ('Nobel Guide') which enables the transformation of patients’ X-rays into a 3-Dimensional digitized model. This allows us to pre-plan the operation and place the dental implants safely and accurately using a computer generated lithographic surgical stent. This state of the art technology allows a non-invasive procedure to be adopted by using keyhole concepts. This allows minimal discomfort and reduced swelling, and patients are often surprised by the ease and much quicker than expected procedures.
Example 1:
An example of how keyhole surgery has benefited our patients:-
Anne suffered numerous years of poor stability and discomfort with her upper dentures. She was unable to eat properly which also led her to eating lots of sweets which led to problems with her remaining lower teeth.
She was offered the choice of a fixed implant bridge which would return her masticatory ability and give her better cosmetics.
She had NobelGuide – guided “keyhole” implants surgery which allows minimal invasive surgery in a much quicker procedure. She was amazed at the ease of the procedure and even better was able to chew immediately on her new implants utilising the “Immediate Function” concept.
A state of the art Procera Implant Bridge constructed of titanium was made for her and her treatment was completed in just over three months!
