Reason 2: We Provide The Most Comprehensive Initial Assessment
To understand your situation COMPLETELY
To make an ACCURATE DIAGNOSIS
To recommend the IDEAL TREATMENT PLAN for you
We may spend up to 1 hour carrying out your initial dental assessment
First Visit. We carry out the following:-
- Digital photographs of your face, and smile. Photographs really help us plan your treatment to a high standard.
- Digital X-rays.We will take necessary X-rays to assess the health of your teeth and surrounding bone. We want to provide a healthy foundation, and take NO CHANCES of missing any underlying problems. We will take a special scanning X-ray and also close up small X-rays of individual teeth. We use digital X-rays to enhance our diagnostic interpretation. This also minimises the radiation dose for X-rays.
- Full Mouth & Periodontal Charting. Checking the supporting structures of your teeth—the gums and bones and checking for various forms of gum and bone disease, such as gingivitis and periodontitis. We check the gum health by taking special measurements of your gums to accurately identify the level of gum disease you have. By treating this early and properly, will ensure you maintain healthy gums and keep your teeth!
- Study Models These are replica moulds of your teeth which help us assess the shape of your teeth and your bite.
- Temporomandibular Joints Analysis. This is important as the lower jaw is intimately connected with these important joints and the long term success of your treatment depends on the health and stability of the TMJs.
- Bite Assessment we assess the precision of how your teeth meet together. If you have a comfortable bite, there will be harmony and your restorations will last longer.
- Smile Analysis We use a comprehensive, detailed checklist to compare your smile to an ideal smile. By doing this, we are very clear as to what changes to make to your mouth to make you look younger and better!
- Oral Cancer Screen We take responsibility to constantly review your soft tissues in the mouth to ensure you do not have any suspicious looking areas or ulcers that can be serious.
In summary, you are assured of a most comprehensive dental assessment available. Our thorough approach when we first meet you is a signature of our service and commitment to oral health.
Reason 3: Pain free dentistry
We offer the following pain free services:
SEDATION DENTISTRY
We offer IV Sedation at our practice and this makes dentistry a breeze for our patients who suffer from anxiety and dental phobia, severe gag reflex, and those requiring extensive, invasive or potentially uncomfortable procedures. An IV sedation is begun by the doctor administering all medications for relaxation to enter your body. You will not remember or be aware of any procedures or especially “getting numb.” Complex dental treatments that often require multiple appointments can often be done in as little as one or two! All while you relax. You breathe on your own. This is not like the hospital anaesthesia where a machine breathes for you.
THE WAND PLUS: COMPUTER-CONTROLLED ANAESTETIC DELIVERY SYSTEM
We have the Wand Plus, a computer controlled tool designed to minimize your anxiety by delivering a virtually painless injection. It allows for controlled, effective and comfortable numbing of the tooth, in most cases without having your cheek, lip, tongue or face affected. This contributes greatly to your comfort during and after the dental appointment. Imagine painless dentistry!
LASER
There is a vast array of dental applications for laser energy. It can be used to whiten your teeth, improve the contour of your gums, and treat gum disease (periodontitis). Sometimes during a routine cleaning (prophy) tartar or calculus is found to be deep under the gumline. Many times it is too deep for the hygienist to reach it without the patient being anesthetized. When this is the case, our Dentist will perform a deep scaling with anaesthesia using the laser. The patient is anesthetized which allows the Doctor to reach deep into the pockets of tartar and quickly and painlessly remove the tartar. The laser breaks up the tartar and it is flushed out allowing the gums to heal more effectively. It has also proven to be extremely effective and painless in the treatment of aphthous ulcers (canker sores).

Reason 6: One Visit Dentistry
New technologies are making our lives simpler and easier everyday and dentistry has certainly not been left behind. Thanks to a great new system called CEREC, you can now have a high-tech smile in a single visit.
In days gone by, you may have needed to visit the dentist two or three times to have a quality, white ceramic restoration. The dentist would need to take a special 'impression' to make a plaster model for the dental laboratory to generate an exact replica of your tooth in order to hand-make your porcelain restoration. The craftsmanship of the laboratory technician is highly regarded, but generally requires a minimum turn-around time of two weeks, leaving you to function with a temporary, generally plastic, restoration.CEREC, instead, uses the latest Computer-Aided Design and Manufacture (CAD-CAM) techniques to give you perfect, white fillings, veneers or crowns, all in a single visit.
You can then watch us design your new restoration on a computer screen, right beside the dental chair using the 3D image created by the camera. The virtual filling is then transferred into reality, again using CEREC. A solid block of porcelain ceramic is inserted into the machine and automatically machined to exactly match this computer model. The perfect-fit restoration is completed and placed in your mouth with the whole process only taking around an hour! CEREC fillings are natural looking, smooth, white and hard-wearing, just like the enamel surface of the rest of your teeth. The ceramic material is biocompatible and is not affected by hot or cold.
Reason 7: Long Term Patients
